Ruth Corprew

Ruth Emma Corprew, born on May 30, 1947, in Isle of Wight, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her residence in Chesapeake, Virginia, on September 23, 2025, at the age of 78.

Ruth dedicated over thirty years of her life to her work as a housekeeper at The Ramada Inn. In her leisure time, she found joy in watching horror movies and indulging in her love for sweets, especially chocolate cake.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Odell Barnett. Emma is survived by her daughters, Consuela Moodie of Norfolk, VA, and Lakecia Corprew of Virginia Beach, VA; her sister, Shirley White of Chesapeake, VA; six cherished grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and her special friend, Antonio Ming. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
