Roy Cusworth

Roy Anthony Cusworth, age 64, passed away on July 1, 2025, at Whatcom Hospice House in Bellingham, Washington, after a long 5 and a half year battle with colon cancer.

Born May 27, 1961, in Portsmouth, United Kingdom, Roy dedicated his life to service — spending 8 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, 12 years in the United States Coast Guard, and 19 years with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. His career spanned nearly four decades of commitment to country and community.

Roy was given a terminal diagnosis over 3 years before his passing but exceeded every expectation with resilience, humor, and strength — living with purpose until the end.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Cusworth, and his siblings, Joy Fuller and Sheryl Lawarence. Roy will be remembered for his strength, his sense of humor, his love of firearms, motorcycles, American and English history, and his fierce loyalty to those he loved.
