Ross Thormeier

Ross Carl Thormeier,

Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away Monday, September 22, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. Age 73 years. Son of the late Grant and Joyce (LaBrake) Thormeier, Ross was born June 4, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Penny Flattery, his loving wife of 46 years, on May 24, 1975. She predeceased him July 28, 2021. Ross was employed at General Motors. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He was a volunteer Firefighter at the Saginaw Twp. Fire Department until 1982. He enjoyed working with his hands, his cottage at Eight Point Lake and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving to cherish his memory are four sons and one daughter, Richard and Kasey Thormeier, Robert and Lauren Thormeier, John and Heather Thormeier, Geri and Jim Stajdl, Ross Adam and Anna Thormeier; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Craig and Vicki Thormeier, Gary and Kerry Thormeier; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Honoring Mr. Thormeier’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2025, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
