RONALD WOMACK was born August 8, 1962 in Chester, PA, to the late Thad Womack and Queen Esther (Giggetts) Womack. On Sunday, May 4, 2025 the Lord called Ronald home to his final resting place.
Ronald, affectionately known as “Hoag” was educated in the Chester Upland School District and is a member of Chester High Class of 1980. After graduating from high school, driven by a desire to serve his country, Ronald enlisted into the U.S. Army. Although an accident early on left him disabled, that didn’t stop him from living a fulfilling life after the Army. Ronald was employed by Ship and Shore for several years and later in his life was employed at PPL Park as a Concession Operation Lead.
Ronald found true joy in the simple pleasures of life — spending cherished moments with his family, traveling to new places, and getting lost in the rhythm of music. His gentle humming or spontaneous singing often brought smiles to those around him. His visits to see his siblings in other states were filled with love and laughter. Recently, he made the decision to move to Virginia to be with his sister, continuing the deep bonds of family that meant so much to him. A lifelong and devoted sports fan, his spirit would light up when watching his beloved Philadelphia teams — none more so than the Eagles, whom he cheered for with unwavering pride.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father Thad Womack, his mother Queen Esther (Giggetts) Womack, three brothers, Willie, Thad, and Jeremiah, two sisters, Shirley and Mary.
Ronald leaves to cherish fond memories: one son, Rahnir Bost (Ayesha), one grandson Alijah Bost, one granddaughter, Ayanna Gandy, all of Wilmington, DE, one brother, Phillip Womack (Carol) of Pembroke Pines, FL, two sisters, Faye Maples of Las Vegas, NV and LaVerne Womack of Burke, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
