Ronald Deward Parish Jr. age 64, known to many as Ron, was a devoted husband, loving father,

cherished grandfather, and dear friend. He is survived by his wife, Selina Parish, his mother,

Virginia Parish, and his children: Sylvia (Keith) Lobdell, Ronald (Alexis) Parish III, and Heather

Parish. He also leaves behind his sister, Rhonda (Parish) Lea, and his grandchildren: Maggie,

Emalyn, Chase, and Baby Parish as well as many loved nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded

in death by his father, Ronald Parish Sr., and his sister, Ginger Lynn Parish. Grandparents

Hobart and Grace Parish and Coleman and Maggie Carman.

Ron held a variety of roles throughout his career, including positions at McCormick Spices and

Salesforce. However, he was most proud of his final and lasting role at Action Truck Parts,

which he considered not just a job, but a true home. His work there brought him purpose, pride,

and lasting friendships.

Ron was a lifelong NASCAR fan and an avid viewer of Family Feud, rarely missing an episode.

He found joy in restoring classic cars and trucks, taking pride in bringing them back to life.

Above all, his favorite pastime was spending time with his family—especially his beloved

grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Nelson Funeral

Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. Interment is private.

Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the

Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
