Ronald F. Leitgeb of Coplay died Friday, October 3, 2025, in his home. Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Frank J. and Erica J. (Knauss) Leitgeb. He attended Coplay High School.
Ronald served honorably in the US Army during Vietnam where he received four distinguished medals: National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Marksman (Rifle M-14) Medal. He served with the 554 Maintenance Company in Qui Nhon.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Lehigh County Parks Department for 32 years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Whitehall.
Ronald was an avid fisherman and enjoyed local trout fishing. He was an Eagles and Penn State fan and enjoyed John Wayne Westerns.
He is survived by brother Raymond of Coplay; nephew Eric of Northampton; and great nephew, Kaiden. He was predeceased by his brother Dennis R. Leitgeb. A calling period will be held at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Coplay, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA.18037 on Thursday, October 9th from 10-11 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the parlor. Interment to immediately follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Whitehall.
