NEIGHORN, Roger Elton – of Flint, Michigan, age 78, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday beginning at 1 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesee County Educational Foundation in Roger’s name.
Roger was born in Bad Axe, Michigan, on July 25, 1947, son of Albert and Rhea (McGregor) Neighorn. He married Sandra Taylor on April 15, 2006, in Davison, Michigan. Roger worked for the United States Postal Service for 36 years before retiring. In his spare time, he enjoyed re-webbing lawn chairs, tending to his yard, and spending time outdoors. He especially loved camping and taking trips to the casino. He was an avid fan of University of Michigan football, the Detroit Tigers, and the Detroit Lions. Above all, Roger cherished his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and was known for his warm smile and easygoing nature.
Roger is survived by his loving wife Sandy; children: Heather (Joe) Lane, Amanda Neighorn, Karra Neighorn, Dawn (Tim) Hallet, Kenneth (Sherri) Sharp, Kendra (Leon) Messing and James (Danielle) Sharp; grandchildren: Erin, Chloe, Ian, Isaiah, Michael, Daniel, Miranda, Thomas, Brittney, Saxen, Devin, Brandon, Felicia, Nicole (Nathen) Fellows, Timothy and McKayla; great grandchildren: Issac, Ollie, Madelyn, Charlotte, Maddie, Adam and Nora; siblings: Lanny (Verna) Neighorn and Gary (Bonnie) Neighorn; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by both parents; siblings: Doug Neighorn and Mardell Wood.
