Roger Lee Fenstermaker, of Springfield, IL, passed at his home on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

He was born on July 24, 1932, in Springfield, IL, the only child of the late Roger and Rosetta (Watkins) Fenstermaker.

Roger married Rose Ann Buhnerkemper in Springfield, on April 18, 1964. She preceded him in death on October 31, 2018. They enjoyed 54 ½ years of married life.

Roger lived a life full of love, good humor, and a commitment to his family, friends, and hometown of Divernon, IL.

He graduated from Divernon High School in 1950. He was president of his graduating class and planned many get togethers throughout the years.

Roger attended Springfield Junior College and was a four-year veteran of the United States Air Force.

He was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church in Divernon, where he served as a Sunday School superintendent, Deacon, and Elder. He was also an associate member of Westminster Presbyterian, where he attended for over 50 years and taught Jr. High Sunday School for four years.

Roger was a 31-year employee of Fiat Allis, where he was president of the Fiat Credit Union and a member of the Management Club. Along with his wife and son, he owned and operated Flowers by Mary Lou, retiring in 2006.

Roger is survived by one son, Roger Fenstermaker III and several cousins.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Bramley Funeral Home, 150 Reichert Road Divernon, IL 62530.

Burial will follow at Brush Creek Cemetery in Divernon where military honors will be conducted.

Memorial contributions may be made to Divernon Township Library or Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
