Robyn Gregory

Robyn Leanne Gregory, age 55, passed away on June 18, 2025. She was born on December 11, 1969, in Phoenix, Arizona where she lived her entire life.

Robyn was a devoted daughter, loving mother, sister, coach, and mentor. She is survived by her parents Donna and Michael Payne; her children Aimee Sarah Spiers; Christian Michael Payne and his wife Marion; Alara Dannon Vaughn and her husband Steven; Grace Elizabeth Gregory; Cole Thomas Gregory; Khyl James Gregory; and 6 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James Kristopher Payne and his wife Bridget.

After graduating from Deer Valley High School, Robyn dedicated her entire life to the sport of gymnastics primarily with Phoenix Gymnastics Academy (PGA), where she worked as a beloved dance choreographer and coach. She found her purpose in teaching and mentoring children, helping them find their voice and confidence through song, dance, and movement. Her students knew her as a gentle, encouraging presence, someone who believed in their potential even when they couldn’t yet see it themselves. Her influence shaped countless young lives, many of whom carried her lessons well beyond the gym walls.

Robyn was a deeply spiritual woman who lived by the words of Luke 6:31: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” She believed in kindness to all of God’s creations and embodied that belief in every aspect of her life; with her family, friends, students, and every person fortunate enough to know her.

A Celebration of Robyn’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 26th, where friends and family will gather to honor her legacy, share memories, and reflect on the joy and love she brought into the world.

Robyn’s light, laughter, and unwavering kindness will be missed beyond words-but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
