Robin Spence

Robin Diann Spence, age 61, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Robin was born on January 5, 1964, in Cedartown, Georgia, to Carolyn Louise Truett Wood and the late James Taylor Wood. She dedicated many years of faithful service as the receptionist at the Carroll County Board of Education Office. Robin was known by all who walked through the doors for her warm smile, kind words, and genuine care.

She was a devoted member of the Church at Carrollton, where her faith shone brightly in all aspects of her life. Robin had a special love for flowers and gardening—her green thumb was matched only by her love for creating beauty through scrapbooking, party planning, and her endless creativity. Her home and heart were always open, and she was lovingly known as a second mother to many.

Robin was the heart and soul of her family—the glue that held everyone together. Her unwavering support and deep love for her sons and grandchildren were evident in everything she did. She took great joy in caring for her grandchildren and eagerly anticipated the arrival of a new granddaughter, Sadye Spence, due in December.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Allen Spence; her loving mother, Carolyn Louise Wood; her sons, Tyler (Lexi) Spence and Cody (Ashley) Spence; her cherished grandchildren, Kayce Spence and Camryn Spence; her brother, James Todd (Rebecca) Wood and his daughter, Tara (Zach) Wood Smith; brother-in-law Tommy (Noreen) Spence and his son Donovan Spence; sister-in-law, Susan Spence Picklesimer (John) and their children Zach Picklesimer and Cadye (Brian) Picklesimer Chesna, and great nephew and niece Miles and Aubrey Picklesimer and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father, James Taylor Wood, and her sister-in-law, Anne Wood.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Almon Funeral Home. A celebration of Robin’s life will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Church at Carrollton, with Pastor Tim Buchanan and Mrs. Joyce Reece officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM until the service hour.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Perry Nettles, Ricky Vines, Landon Deas, Zach Smith, Zach Picklesimer, and Donovan Spence serving as pallbearers.
