Roberta Beatrice (Welch) Bristow, 88, formerly of Triplett, MO, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake, VA. Funeral services will be held at Breshears Memorial Chapel in Brunswick, MO on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. Micah Bristow will officiate the service. A visitation will precede the service on Friday from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. A private burial will be held at Jacksonville Veteran’s Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
Roberta is survived and missed by her loving family: daughter Sharon and her husband Marty, son Kevin and his wife Terri, son Micah and his wife Donna, grandson Michael and his wife Cynthia with their two sons Aiden and Declan, granddaughter Tabitha and her husband Roger with their children Hailey, Chloie, and Mason, granddaughter Michelle and her husband Brent with their sons Tristan and Shawn, granddaughter Sunny with her husband Bryan and their three children Reagan, Connor, and Owen, grandson Art and his wife Rebecca with their two children Evelyn, and Sawyer, grandson Anthony and his children Tyson, Colt, Brock, Ava, Kyra, Millie and Brielle, granddaughter Skylar and her children Talan, Hadley, Piper and Evie, granddaughter Abi and her son Kash, granddaughters Sarah, Casey and Kyla, and grandson Buster. Siblings John, Alice, Neva (Frank). Sisters-in-Law Lawana & Trudy. Her memory will be especially cherished by Renate & Werner Wailersbacher, Shirley Fry, Nancy Wohlgemuth, Viola Spencer, Rosemary Lawson, the Ostermann family, the Chowning family, Danny & Lori, Connie Forrester, Penny McCurry, Teresa Stephens, Megan Yung, Ann Hamlin, Betty Muchler, the Zion Church at Indian Grove, and all her wonderful, wonderful Glow Girls.
Roberta was predeceased by her husband O.C. “Sonny” Bristow, the grandparents who raised her, Fred & Maude Welch, mother, Mildred Welch, Uncle Lewis, and brothers Donald, Ronald, Thomas, and Robert.
Her legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we control our attitudes. We can choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us.
Pallbearers will be Michael Bristow, Art Bristow, Brent Newkirk, Bryan Vanderveer, Roger Robitaille, and Mason Robitaille. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eddie Reichert, Bill Sparks, Jerry Wohlgemuth, John Wohlgemuth, and Matt Ostermann.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Northwestern High School FFA. Donations may be left at Breshears Memorial Chapel or mailed to the school at 18475 Highway 11, Mendon, MO, 64660.
