Robert “Robbie” Walton Jr.

Robert A. Walton Jr., 65 of Happy Valley, Mifflin, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Robbie was affectionately known as both Roob and Captain.
He was born on May 27, 1959 in Ashland, the son of the late Robert A. Walton Sr. and Anna Sue (nee Thompson) and Richard Dean Bittinger.
Robbie went to school at Hillsdale. He was a jack of all trades, always willing to lend a helping hand with payment on the barter system. He retired from the sewer plant at the Village of Mifflin.
He could be best described as a friend to all. Robbie loved his family, friends, and God and could be found always living his best life. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, playing horseshoes, darts, pool and cards and was always known as the life of the party. Anyone who knew him could tell you a story and you would never hear the same story twice.
Robbie is survived by his brothers, Bernard and Kathy Walton of Mansfield, Terry and Yolanda Walton of Mansfield, Ted and Nancy Walton of Ashland, Joseph and Cheri Bittinger of Arizona; his sisters, Belinda Moore Burkepile of Ashland, Peggy and Steven Close of Ashland, Lyn and Thomas Fisher of Mansfield; his stepfather, Richard Dean Bittinger of Mansfield; his nieces and nephews, Marc Moore, Terry and Jen Walton, Linda and Rick Knipp, Patty and Chad Pawlikowski, Amber and Rick Kinter, Crystal Pringle, Bridgette Hempleman, Mandy and Jeremy Close, Misty and Cody Jones, Katie and Paul Rulon, Danielle and Justin Burns, Caitlyn Fisher, Alexandria and Ben Flores, and Victoria and Eli Cardona; and special friends, Adora and Daniel Zehner.
In addition to his parents, Robbie is preceded in death by his special friend, Carol Amend; one sister, Inez and Kent Sukraw; his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Maybelle (nee Sayers) Walton and his maternal grandparents, Charles and Inez (nee Webb) Thompson.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Oswalt Pavilion in Mifflin.
