Robert Millman

Robert Bruce “Bob” Millman passed away suddenly while on vacation at the age of 73. Bob will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 50 years Joanne Millman (nee Quirk). Loved and loving father of Meghan (John) and Sean (Heather); adored and doting Papa to Addison, Chase and Kieran; dear brother of Jim (Anita), Dan, and John (Vicki); brother-in-law of Mary Quirk, Paul Quirk and Sheila Quirk; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Ruth (nee Nichols) Millman.

Bob started his career with LCBO in Waterloo, transferring to Tobermory, and in 1987 came to manage the St. Thomas store. Recently, Bob and Joanne celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and he was looking forward to travelling to Cuba with Meghan and John to continue celebrating. Bob loved holidaying yearly with good friends in Haliburton. Though tragic, it seems fitting that he passed away doing what he thoroughly enjoyed; fishing from the dock during this year’s trip. Bob loved life and loved spending time with his family.

Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Angels’ Church 502 Talbot Street, St. Thomas on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 10:00 am. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Holy Angels’ Building Fund, or Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin.
