Robert “Bobby” Dale Littrell Sr., 79, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at his home in Brunswick, MO. No memorial services will be held.
Bobby Dale, as he was known by his family and friends, was born on May 2, 1946 in Brunswick, MO, the son of Arthur Dale and Eleanor Ada (Swan) Littrell. Bobby graduated from Brunswick High School in 1964. On January 19, 1966, he enlisted in the United States Army. Bobby Dale was stationed at Fort Hood, TX, where he played the trumpet in the Army band. During his time of service, he earned the expert rifle badge and the National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged on January 18, 1968.
After serving his country, Bobby Dale returned to his hometown and began working for the telephone company. He started out as a lineman and finished his career as a central office technician. After 38 years, Bobby Dale retired from Century Link in 2009. On July 11, 2015, he was united in marriage to Barbara (Shirley) Fisher in Triplett, MO.
Bobby Dale loved spending time with his family and friends. He also loved his dog, Sammie, quail hunting, fishing, drinking coffee on his front porch, and being outdoors. He was a member of the Brunswick First Christian Church and was a member of the Brunswick American Legion Post #7.
Bobby Dale is survived by his beloved wife of the home, Barbara; one sister, Billye Jean Lawrence of Springfield, MO; one brother-in-law, Bruce Clevenger; two step-children, Brent Fisher and his wife Jen of Birmingham, AL and Kristie Jacobs and her husband Mike of Brunswick, MO; nine step-grandchildren, which includes one very special step-grandchild, Bailey Walter and her husband Brad, Rylee Meyer, Bryant Jacobs, Colton Jacobs, Allysun Helm, Nicole Helm, Bobbi Helm, Sladen Fisher, and Knoxton Fisher; three step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Eleanor; two sons, Robert Dale Littrell Jr. and Ronald Gale Littrell; one sister, Judy Clevenger; and one brother-in-law, Jay Lawrence.
Honorably pallbearers are Greg Clevenger, Gary Clevenger, Jeremy Clevenger, Rodney Joe Swan, Alan Martin, and his best friend, Bud Clavin.
Arrangements were under the direction of Breshears Memorial Chapel, 207 W. Broadway, Brunswick, MO, 65236.
