Robert Samuel Cutler, Jr., 81, of Ottawa, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the American Legion Hall in Ottawa. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.

Robert was born on December 29, 1943 in Tuscola to Robert Samuel and Doris Edna (Lowery) Cutler. Bob served in the U.S. Army Special Forces. He worked as an electrician from 1963 to 2016 and as an educational instructor at Sheridan Prison from 2006 to 2016. Bob married Betty (Cain) Warrner on July 15, 2000. He was a 32nd degree mason, a 50 year plus member of the IBEW Local 601 Electrician’s Union, and he enjoyed bowling and volunteering at the hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Cutler, of Ottawa; three children, Katherine Cutler, Jeffrey (Terry) Warrner, Bradley Warrner; nine grandchildren, Nakeisha Stephens, Isaiah Stephens, Teagan Harmon, Brandi Warrner, Scott (Haley) Warrner, Danielle (Bryan) Jacobs, Matthew (Katie) Koval, Lilli Warrner, Ty Warrner; 13 great-grandchildren, Reagan Carlson, Kailyn Warrner, Brinley Warrner, Rhett Warrner, Riley Jacobs, Taylor Jacobs, Clara Koval, Emma Koval, Amilia Koval, Chase Warrner, Raymond Warrner, Reed Warrner, Louise Warrner; and two dogs, Rayna and Oliver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert, Sr. and Doris Cutler; a son, Richard Warrner; a grandson, Joshua Warrner; a sister, Peg and his first wife, Roseanne Cutler.
