Robert D. Campbell passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Danbury Hospital at the age of 65. Bob was born May 9, 1960 to the late Joan (Fallon) Campbell and Bernard Campbell. Bob graduated from Brewster High School in 1978, before attending Bethany College. He proudly served in the United Stares Air Force from 1979 until 1984. Following his service, he worked for the Brewster Post Office until his health declined.
Bob was a member of the Brewster Volunteer Fire Department for many years and proudly walked in summer parades. He was an avid reader and a devoted NY Giants and NY Mets fan. He could often be found watching a game with friends at Pippas.
It can’t go without mentioning his fondness for history, whether it be worldly or personal. He was always the family go-to when trying to recall childhood memories of growing up at Tonetta Lake or remembering the details of our family tree.
He looked forward to every opportunity to get together with family, from birthdays to holiday celebrations with the aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Bob is survived by his brother William Campbell (Lucia), sisters Lori Macomber (Kyle) and Leslie Tyndall (Pat), his niece Kate Herbert (Sean), nephews Kyle, Jack, Owen, Andrew and great nephew Campbell.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday July 22, 2025, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster at 11:00 am. The interment will be private. Calling hours will take place Monday July 21, 2025, at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
