Robert Buonomo

Robert Joseph Buonomo, age 71, passed away on Sunday, August 10th, 2025, surrounded by family and close friends. He is survived by his sister, Eileen, along with many cousins, extended family, and lifelong friends. Bobby was born and raised in the Bronx. He briefly lived in Massachusetts but eventually returned to his homestead where he was the happiest. Bobby studied and practiced law in Yonkers, NY, for many years.

Bobby was soft spoken, always had a smile for you, and would help you with anything you were trying to do. He was the kind of person who made friends for life. He had many struggles with his health that never kept him down. He experienced it all with grace and stubborn persistence.

He was the unofficial family historian, remembering who was related to whom and how each was related to each other. He had an amazing mind and was unbeatable at Jeopardy, Trivial Pursuit, or any competition where useless facts and figures were involved. You always wanted him on your team!

He loved watching sports, especially the New York Yankees, Rangers, and Giants. The world was a better place with our Bobby in it.

Bobby will be laid to rest alongside his mother, Helen (Corgan) Buonomo, and his father, Dominick Buonomo, in Massachusetts.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 4:00 -8:00 P.M. in Farenga Bros. Funeral Home, 920 Allerton Avenue, Bronx, NY 10469
