Rickey Franklin

Rickey Eugene Franklin, 71, of Godley, Texas, passed away on Saturday afternoon, November 16, 2024, in his home in Godley.

A memorial balloon release and the scattering of Ricky’s remains will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Kennedale Speedway, 6727 Hudson Village Creek Road, Kennedale, Texas  76060.

Rickey was born on January 23, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Roy & Jessie Franklin. Rickey enjoyed bowling, drawing, and painting. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and a collector of baseball and football cards. Additionally, Rickey enjoyed motor racing. He was known for his kind heartedness and will be remembered for the love he had for his family. He was “the best brother ever.”

Rickey is survived by his sister, Barbara Wengert and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his brother, Travis Franklin and by his sister, Teresa Carter.
