Richard Harrison

Richard Lamar Harrison (70 years of age) of Phoenix, Arizona was sent to his eternal home on June 10th 2025. He was born on July 21, 1954 in Roswell, New Mexico.

Richard is survived by his two daughters; Tiffany Rae Harrison and Traci Lynn Kuhn (Anthony Kuhn, son in law). He will now be reunited with his daughter

Tonja Alisa Harrison who preceded him in death on November 16, 2018. He also leaves behind his cherished granddaughters Tatum Alexis and Nevaeh June. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Faye Harrison (mother), Carrol Harrison (father), and oldest brother Robert “Bob” Harrison. Rick is also survived by his sisters Margaret Knudsen (Marvin, brother in law), Jo Ellen Ryan (Rick Ryan, brother in law) and older brother William “Bill” Harrison (Marlene, sister in law).

After Farmington High School, he moved to San Angelo, Texas with his brother Robert “Bob” Harrison and Sister-in-Law Laura “Bump” Harrison. Rick enjoyed this time as being the fun uncle to his nieces and nephew. After leaving San Angelo, they relocated to Arizona where he ventured up north to Flagstaff on his own and later settled in the valley.

Rick worked at Fry’s Grocery for over 30 years retiring with the company in 2016. As an employee Rick was known to be hard working, dedicated and kind.

Richard loved the outdoors, sunsets, cloudy days, a good rainstorm, going to the beach or Durango (CO), early mornings, classic comedy movies, learning about others, hiking, being a girl dad and having fun with his granddaughters. He particularly loved the arts and over the years purchased a lot of unique items. He loved to travel and was always on the move. He had many friends and was adored by all of them. His greatest love was his daughters and grandchildren whom he enjoyed spending time with.

He was a beloved soul with a tender heart who touched so many lives. Richard (Rich, Rick, Ricky, dad, grandpa) was affectionately known as a shining light in the lives of all that knew him. He will be deeply missed.
