Raymond Bolton

Raymond Douglas Bolton, known affectionately as Ray by his friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, at the age of 88.

Ray is survived by his wife, Sue Field; his three sons, David Charles Bolton, Gregory Eric Bolton, and Mark Damon Bolton; and his sister, Sharon Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles David Bolton and Vivian Bolton, and his brother, Earl Bolton, with whom he now rests in peace.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Ray’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Greer Family Mortuary and Cremation Services in Alameda. The service will offer a chance for those who knew him to share stories, laughter, and tears.

The following day, on Thursday, May 29th at 1:30 p.m., a Committal Service with the US Army Honor Detail will take place at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, providing a fitting tribute to a man who served his country with distinction. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend both services.
