With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our father, Randy Su’a, on July 14, 2025, in Orem, Utah. One year to the day after losing the love of his life, Lise Su’a, Randy peacefully crossed the veil to be reunited with her. Their love was enduring in life, and now eternal in the next.
Born on December 20, 1964, in Western Samoa, Randy centered his life around faith, family, and love. He and Lise built a beautiful life together, raising three children, Mata’itoa Junior, Romney, and Saumolia. In later years, Randy opened his heart and home to his nephew, Perris Kim, whom he loved as a son.
Randy was a grandfather to Brison Mata’itoa (Sierra) Tilo, and Analeia Lise Tilo. He was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Lolemasina Jan Tilo.
A devoted uncle, Randy—always alongside Pili —could be found cheering at football and rugby games, celebrating milestones, and creating memories at family gatherings, especially at “The Ranch” in Huntington Beach. He cherished Sunday dinners and park picnics surrounded by friends and loved ones. A die-hard 49ers fan, Randy proudly wore his red and gold.
Randy was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His life was a quiet testimony of devotion, service, and love. We find peace knowing he is now reunited with his eternal companion.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lise “Pili” Su’a; his parents; sister-in-law Mary Jane Fuga; and brothers-in-law Willy Fuga, Samoa Fuga, George Fuga, Ace Amisone, and Ernie Sagiao.
Randy is survived by his children: Mata’itoa Junior Tilo, Romney (Jodi) Tilo, and Saumolia (Katie) Tilo; as well as his sister-in-laws Fa’afetai Sagiao, Saumolia Amisone, Vera (Jimmy) Fuga-Hill, and Leiloa Fuga; and brothers-in-law Faafua (Sandy) Fuga, Romney (La) Fuga, and Tony Fuga. He leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including countless nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives he touched deeply.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, 10:30 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 80 South 280 East, Orem, Utah, where a Viewing will be held prior at 9:00 to 10:00 am.
The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to A+ Hospice—especially Sheila, Michele, Melanie, Cristi, April and Annette—for their extraordinary compassion, care, and kindness during Randy’s final days.
