It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ramon Mendoza Martinez,
who departed this life on November 20, 2025, at the age of 87.
Ramon was born August 31, 1938, in Derby, Texas, to Manuela and Francisco
Martinez. While they were working in the fields as a migrant family, he met the beautiful
woman who would later become his wife and mother of their five children.
Ramon eventually relocated to Fort Worth, Texas, where he began a career as a
welder/fabricator at Lockheed Martin, where he retired after 27 years. He had a great
passion for rebuilding classic cars, riding horses, riding his Harley Davidson, and spending
time with his great grandchildren.
Ramon was a man of deep wisdom. In his later life, he shared stories of this wisdom
to the generations below. One son remembers him often saying, “You never know if you can
do it until you try it.” Ramon demonstrated love for his family and friends through his quiet
strength and unwavering support which he showed by always being there when he was
needed. He was a simple man who always told you how blessed he felt for those small things
God had given him. “Praise the Lord and be blessed” was a famous quote of his.
His legacy lives on in the countless stories he told, the laughter he inspired, and the
wisdom he imparted to all who knew him. We will carry his memory in our hearts forever.
Ramon was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Mary
Zaveleta Martinez; his two brothers, Robert Martinez and Rudy Martinez; his two sons, Alexis
Martinez and Bryan Martinez; and his grandson, Seth Martinez.
He is survived by his children: Adrian Martinez, and wife, Cathy Martinez; Delma
Martinez; Delbert Martinez, and wife, Karen Martinez. Grandchildren: Amy Martinez; Ryan
Martinez; Hunter Martinez and wife, Tori; Victoria Coffey and husband, Zach; Miranda
Martinez; Josh Martinez; Savanah Martinez, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, and dear friends he considered family.
