Ralph Scott Maiers age 61, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in Bellingham. He suffered a heart attack while spending time at a beautiful place he loved – Lake Padden. Ralph resided between Vancouver B.C. and Bellingham Washington.
Ralph was born on May 13, 1964, in Saginaw Michigan, to parents Eva L Howay and Terry E Maiers. He is survived by brothers Randy Maiers and Matthew Maiers and sisters Kathy McLaughlin and Gwen Delano.
His childhood best friend was Christopher Grandel, and they were both artists.
Ralph graduated from the College for creative studies Detroit, Michigan and School of the art institute of Chicago.
His oil paintings and sculptures were truly breathtaking and deep with detail and emotion.
Ralph married Corinne Ann Jackson January 7, 1989, in Michigan and had 3 children, Samantha Kathryn Maiers, Wyeth Elgin Maiers and Rembrandt Nathaniel Maiers.
Ralph joined the movie business right after college, a pioneer in the early Special effects industry and is a part of how it has evolved into what the Visual effects industry is today. He was revolutionary with his artistic sculpting skills and out of the box thinking with the early practical effects used.
He loved oil painting, M&Ms, Red wine, Movies, Coffee, shopping amazon and naps.
Ralph was a hardheaded stubborn man, with so much love for his family.
Over the last few years, he had found incredible faith in Religion and committed much of his time to study of the bible. He spent the last few years updating his truck and parking it in scenic locations all up the west coast where he could relax and focus on his faith.
He is survived by his children and siblings
His modest burial will take place July 23, 2025, at Ten Mile cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his Wife Corinne, and Mother Eva.
