Phoebe Joyce Miller Rothkopf

Phoebe Joyce Miller Rothkopf was born on March 5, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to Etta and Irvin Miller. She shared her childhood home with her parents and brother, Wallace Miller. Phoebe attended New York University before her marriage to Jules Rothkopf in 1948. Phoebe was a devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother to her three beautiful grandchildren, Ian, Sarah Jayne and Emma Rothkopf. She was a maverick in the travel industry and started Regent Tours at a time when few women were traveling the world to educate themselves in foreign customs and cultures. Phoebe’s innovative spirit and impeccable style facilitated the creation of unique Art History tours to Italy and France.

Phoebe and Jules were residents of Bedford Hills, NY over the last twenty years. She continued to flourish at The Osborn Senior Residence in Rye, NY until her passing on May 13, 2025. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Drs. Douglas Rothkopf and Holly Blatman, their children, Ian and Emma Rothkopf, her daughter Wendy Rothkopf and Wendy’s daughter, Sarah Jayne Rothkopf.

Phoebe loved seeing the world, experiencing new adventures, and cruising unexplored vistas. She will be eternally loved and missed by her family and many wonderful friends and colleagues.
