Philip Ray Lewis, a proud veteran of United States Army passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 8th, 2025 at the age of 64.
Phil (Lippy) was born on September 13, 1961, in Cross Plains, WI, the son of David and Jane (Zander) Lewis. Phil served as a Combat Engineer in Germany during his service with The United States Army. Phil was a one-in-a-generation kind of soul, and he really would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. If you ever got the chance to get to know him, you would surely never forget him. He left a lasting impression everywhere he went, and his nomad spirit left him with friends far and wide. He was always there for the ones that needed him, whether it was to help you with a project, someone to commiserate with, or someone to join you for a roadie, he was first in line to be with you. He was an avid outdoorsman that could teach you the “correct” way to do anything. You could always find him enjoying a sports game, whether that was his beloved Brewers, Green Bay Packers, or Badgers football and basketball. If it wasn’t sports on his TV, it would be an old western, or some type of cooking show, and then you could find him in the kitchen trying out his new recipes.
Phil was preceded in death by both of his parents, David and Jane, his brother Scotty, as well as Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, relatives, and friends.
He is survived by his 3 daughters Tiffany (Mickey) Warren, Philecia Lewis, Tianna Gladem, 5 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, brother Russ Lewis, sister Lori (Steve) Johnson, brother Al Lewis, his lifelong friend Mike (Lori) Schmidt (even though he watched NASCAR), Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at the VFW located at 514 Willow St, Arena, WI 53503 at 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Saturday October 25, 2025. All who know and love him are welcome to attend. Online condolences available at www.staffordfuneralhomes.com. The Richardson – Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green is assisting the family with the arrangements.
