Philip Distler

Philip John Distler, 61, of Jefferson City, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, November 3, 2025.

He was born on January 2, 1964, in Jefferson City, Missouri and was the son of the late James and Ruth (Landrum) Distler.

Philip was a 1982 graduate of Helias Catholic Highschool, afterwords Philip went into the work force where he worked for Von Hoffman, Midwest Block and Brick, George Schulte and Sons Excavating, Daryl Wilbers Excavating, Capital Quarries, and then finally spent thirteen years working with his sons at Distler Brothers Enterprises.

Philip lived life with energy and a deep love for the outdoors. He found his greatest joy on the water — whether it was boating, fishing, or simply soaking in the peaceful beauty of the lake. When he wasn’t on the water, he could often be found riding four-wheelers or dirt bikes, always ready for the next adventure and a bit of mud.

He took pride in a hard day’s work and approached every task with dedication and a strong work ethic that inspired those around him. Above all, he treasured time with his grandchildren, who brought endless laughter and light into his life. His happiest moments were spent watching them play, teaching them new things, and sharing stories that will live on in their hearts forever.

He is survived by his Sons; Lucas Distler, Beau Distler, Daughter; Lauren Distler, Brothers; Donnie Distler, Cary Distler, Doug Distler, Scott Distler, Sister; Cathy Singer, and Grandchildren; Charlee, Easton, Arrielle, Aniya, Roxanne, Briggs.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to an organization of your choosing in Philips name and honor.
