Phil Wright
- May 27, 2025

Phil N. Wright was born on June 22, 1951, in Panguitch, Utah (Garfield County), to Myrtle Dickinson Wright and Nelpher Wright. He passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, preceded in death by his beloved parents and his brother, William “Bill” Wright.
He is survived by his sister, Mada Webber, and his three children: Ryan Wright (Karie, son Kale), Justin Wright (Kristi, son Aldon), and Shannon Wright (son Brock).
Phil moved with his family to Southern California in March 1952, where he grew up and graduated from La Puente High School in 1969. As a Varsity player, he had a deep love for basketball and carried that passion throughout his life.
He later moved to Northern California, where he raised his three children. He was a devoted father and a pillar in the community, serving as President of the local Little League youth baseball and coaching his boys, which brought him great joy and pride.
Phil was a hardworking man, who ran a construction company for over 30 years. His dedication, integrity, and knowledge earned the respect of all who worked with and knew him.
In 2014, he retired and relocated to Hurricane, Utah, to be closer to his mother and sister. There, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, visiting his property at Panguitch Lake, hunting, fishing, riding his ATV, and spending time with his dog Radar.
He was known for his grit, wisdom, storytelling, teasing, and work ethic. He took great pride in being an uncle, great-uncle, and grandpa, and his influence will be deeply felt for generations.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Panguitch City Cemetery, 365 South Cemetery Road, Panguitch, Utah 84759
All who knew and loved Phil are welcome to attend and share memories.
