Peggy Lou Webster, 81, of DeLand, Florida, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness.

Born on February 11, 1944, in Bedford, Kentucky, to the late Richard and Gertrude Leach Wise. Peggy brought laughter and light to those around her throughout her life. In 2024, she relocated to DeLand to be closer to her daughters, continuing to share her wit and warm smile with all who knew her.

Peggy is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, George Webster of DeLand; her loving daughter, Kimberly (Chipper) Zettler of DeLand, her sister, Janet Davis of Lexington, Indiana; her grandsons, Shane Gray of LaGrange, Kentucky, Matthew Chilton of Omaha, Nebraska, and Alex Hayden of Ocklawaha, Florida; and her cherished great-grandchildren: Alice, Ava, Johnny, Isabella, Wyatt, and Layla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Stephanie; her grandchildren, Shelby and Sean; three sisters, Phyllis Wise Webster, Patty Wise Leach, Anna Lee Wise Ralston; one great niece April Fox, all of whom she held close to her heart.

Peggy was known for many things—her sharp sense of humor, her unmistakable smile, and her lifelong loyalty to Kentucky’s tobacco farmers. Her love of cigarettes was matched only by the affection she showed to those she cared for.

Her presence in the lives of her family and friends was a gift, and her memory will live on in the laughter, stories, and love she leaves behind.
