Paul George Turner, age 96, of Faribault died on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Faribault Senior Living, Faribault.

Funeral services will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Faribault, on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. with military rites provided by the Rice County Central Veteran’s Association.

Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. and also one hour prior to the services on Friday.

Paul George, the son of George and Florence (Taft) Turner was born on July 19, 1928, in Castle Rock. He attended Northfield High School. Paul served in the U. S. Naval Reserves. On June 3, 1948, he married Kathryn M. Turner. He was formerly employed by Sellner Manufacturing and the Faribault Regional Center before becoming a carpenter. Paul and his brother-in-law Larry built several homes in the Faribault area. Paul was also the supervisor of the construction crew during the construction of the Radisson Hotel in Minneapolis. He completed his construction career building the clock tower in Mankato. After retirement he served as a lifeguard at the Faribault Community Center for many years. Paul enjoyed traveling and camping trips with his family. Bull Shoals, Arkansas was a favorite destination for visiting and meeting friends. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed taking his grandchildren fishing. Paul spent his time outside, putzing in the garage building or repairing things and dancing the polka with Kathryn.

He is survived by his daughters, Dianne (and Jerry) Barta and LaVonne Leibeg; eight grandchildren, Dawn (and Dan) Caron, Mary (and Steven) Cummins, Tracy (and Shannon) DuChene, Holly (and Leo) Lukas, John (and Jamie) Leibeg, Cary (and Cassie) Leibeg, Shawn (and Angela) Barta and Corey (and Taryn) Anhalt; 28 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; other relatives; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn in 2022; one daughter, Kathryn Anhalt; son in law, Gary Leibeg; two grandsons, Jeffrey Anhalt and Matthew Barta; granddaughter in law, Teresa Harvey.
