Patricia Gallagher

Patricia Irene (Gibson) Gallagher, 80, of Sea Isle City, NJ, passed peacefully into eternal life on Saturday, October 11th, 2025 at her home.

Born on April 30, 1945, in Somers Point, NJ to John I. and Jeanette (Braca) Gibson, Trish was the youngest of five siblings. She cherished her childhood in Sea Isle before attending Ocean City High School and Immaculata University in Pennsylvania, where she studied psychology. Trish returned to her hometown and began working as a teacher’s aide in the Stone Harbor school system.

Trish met her soulmate, Bill Gallagher, on the beaches of Sea Isle City in 1963. They were married in 1966 and together, they raised five children in Sea Isle and built a life rooted in love, service, and family. Trish found her life’s calling as a mother and homemaker. In 1980, Trish and Bill purchased G & T Crib and Linen Rental Service, a business she remained passionately involved in for decades.

Though Sea Isle was always home, Trish and Bill spent their first years together in Northeast Philadelphia, where they owned and operated Bill Gallagher’s Tavern and welcomed their first two children. In 1970 Bill and Trish moved their family back to Sea Isle to follow the sand in their toes, and welcomed three more children. It was here that they lived for the next 45 years. In Sea Isle, Trish was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, often seen distributing communion and reading at daily Mass. Her faith was a constant guiding light throughout her life.

Known for her generosity, selflessness, and unwavering love for her children and grandchildren, it is no wonder that Trish was a nurturing mother figure to so many over the course of her life. She was an avid reader and walker, found joy in summers spent on the beach or on the boat with family, and recently enjoyed winters in Naples, Florida. She was a proud supporter of her children’s and grandchildren’s sports and arts events, and a loyal fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.

Trish is survived by her beloved husband, Bill, and their five children and fifteen grandchildren:

Son Bill and wife Jill, children Libbey, Bill, Jack, and Cate Gallagher, son Brendan and wife Kelly, children, Carly  and Brendan,

son Tim and wife Meredith, children Claire and Mae Gallagher, son Patrick and wife Siobhan, children Hanna, Fionn, and Reilly Gallagher, Colleen and husband Mark Lang, children Maggie, Annie, James, and Tori Lang.

Trish is also survived by her siblings Jack Gibson, Diana Perry, Delores Cipolone and Tony & Lynn Gibson

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 17th, from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sea Isle City, NJ, followed by a traditional Catholic Mass at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place at Calvary Baptist Cemetery in Oceanview, NJ.

Memorial donations may be made in Trish’s name to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or the Sea Isle City Public Library, causes close to Trish’s heart.
