Pamela Joyce

Pamela Jean (Sherrell) Joyce, age 70, of Bedford, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born December 27, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Everett and Imogene (Smith) Sherrell.

Mrs. Joyce was a graduate of Oldham County, Kentucky High School. Previously, she served as the payroll officer at the Trimble County Schools and retired in 2017 as the clerk-treasurer for the City of Milton, Kentucky.

She was a member of Providence Baptist Church, and formerly a member of the Trimble County Saddle Club. She enjoyed riding horses, camping and playing cards with her grandchildren.

Her surviving family includes one daughter and son-in-law, Lashann and Tim McManis of Turners Station, Kentucky; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Lori Ritchie of Providence, Kentucky; one brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Mimi Sherrell of Bedford; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and David Johnson of Shelbyville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren: Trenton McManis, Hunter McManis and his wife, Megan, Macey McManis, Avery McManis, McKenna Ritchie, Alyssa Ritchie, and Colt Ritchie; and two great grandchildren: Cooper and Rhodes McManis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph “Doug” Joyce, to whom she was married on July 2, 1993 at Bedford Baptist Church, and who preceded her in death on April 29, 2024; and two brothers: Len Sherrell and Lee Sherrell.

The Reverend Aaron Sherrell will conduct the funeral services.
