Otis Beckwith

Otis Clarence Beckwith aka “OC” was born on June 4th, 1936 to the late William Beckwith and Georgia Powell.  He was the second of eight children: Iris O Holmes (deceased), Annese Lewis, Harold Earl, Vernita Davis (deceased), Donald Earl, Betty Burpo, Irma Bradford (James).  

He had a distinguished career in the US Air Force and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant.  Though he never married nor had children, he supported his mother and younger siblings with love and financial support.

He leaves to cherish his memory: brothers Harold and Donald Earl, sisters Annese Lewis, Betty Burpo and Irma Bradford (James), one aunt Lillian Powell, a host of nephews, nieces and cousins, special niece Olivia Jackson and special cousin Gerald Powell (Charlena).  

He will be sorely missed, but we thank God for sharing him with us for 89 years.
