LANCASTER-Oscar J. Girouard, 80, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Jeannine (Saulnier) Girouard; two daughters, Sandra Girouard of Lancaster; and Paula Vincent & husband Leif of Fitchburg; his son, Paul Girouard & wife Michelle of Harriman, TN; grandchildren, Chantal, Paul Jr., Noah, and Jacob Girouard, Zachary and Travis Vincent; and great-grandson Atticus Vincent. He leaves his siblings, Ronald Girouard & wife Margaret; Fernand Nowlan; and Jeanette LeBlanc; generations of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Son of the late Aimeé and Emma (Leger) Girouard, Oscar was born, raised and educated in Saint-Antoine, New Brunswick, Canada. Following studies, Oscar embarked on his lifelong professional career in the construction field. Well-known and respected in his trade, Oscar successfully owned and operated Acme Concrete Form for more than forty years until retiring. An avid outdoorsman, Oscar enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, and time spent at the family camp in Maine. He was a former member of the Lunenburg Sportsman Club, Townsend Rod & Gun, and long-time motorcycle enthusiast. Above all, Oscar was a devoted family man, loving husband, father, pepere, brother, uncle, and friend.

Calling hours will be held from 5 until 7PM on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Church, 809 Main St., Lancaster, with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster.
