Olga Fernandez
Olga Trinidad Fernandez, 76, passed away in her Chicago home on August 23, 2025. Her visitation will be on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am. Services will be at St. Alphonsus Church, 1429 W. Wellington Ave, Chicago, IL 60657. Following the services, a gravesite memorial will be held at Mount Olive Cemetery, 3800 N. Narragansett Ave, Chicago, IL 60634.
Olga was proceeded in death by her father Justo Fernandez and mother Olga Fernandez.
She is survived by her three children: Debra Vogler (Michael), Christine Pearson, and Michael McCabe (Kristie); her seven grandchildren: Madeline (Sam), Andrew (Carolina), Tyler, Alie, Lauren, Anna and Sydney; and her two brothers: Conrad (Margaret) and Ronald.
Olga was born and raised in Cuba and relocated to the United States with her parents during her teenage years. She spent the remainder of her life in the Chicago area. Olga attended the University of Illinois Chicago, graduating with a degree in Psychology.
Family was her identity. Olga was a loving daughter, devoted mother, affectionate grandmother, and caring sister. She touched all those around her with her warmth, generosity, and fun loving personality.
Prior to her passing, Olga respectfully requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers.
