Odette Bassett

Odette Marcelle Bassett died July 19, 2025, in Eau Claire, WI. She was born October 23, 1929, near and grew up in Verdun, France. She moved to the United States in 1957.

Odette is survived by two daughters, Brigitte (Craig) Hanson of Shell Lake, and Carol (David) Swanson of Sarona; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

While Burnett County was her US home, Odette lived in Seattle, WA, Colorado City, CO, and various locations in Wisconsin before settling in Shell Lake.

Odette enjoyed spending time with family along with her hobbies of sewing, crocheting, painting and drawing as well as gardening.

At Odette’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral.
