The youngest of eight, Nila was born in Unisan, Quezon to Magdalena and Quinciano on October 17th, 1956. She earned her bachelor’s degree in banking and finance from Central Escolar University in 1981. Nila moved to the United States in 1988 and worked as a personal banker for 35 years. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and dog, Penny, cooking, listening and dancing to music, taking care of her plants, and traveling to explore new experiences and visit family members around the world. As a faithful Born-Again Christian, Nila was an active member in her church community at Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship in New City, New York. She dedicated her life to loving and serving the Lord.

Nila is survived by her husband, Marcelino (Lino), with whom she preciously shared 36 years of loving marriage. She is also survived by her three children, Clyde, Emmanuel (EJ), and Vianne, who will carry her strong, compassionate, and joyful spirit with them always. In honoring Nila’s life, we celebrate her generosity, perseverance, fiery spirit, and loyal service to the Lord. Her warm nature, infectious laugh, and comforting food will be remembered and cherished by the many lives she touched throughout her years. Her family is comforted knowing that she is happy, healthy, and at peace with the Lord.
