Nevada Treasury’s 2026 open enrollment period begins for Nevada Prepaid Tuition Program
- November 4, 2025

The Nevada Treasury has announced the start of the open enrollment period for the Nevada Prepaid Tuition Program, which began on November 1, 2025, and will conclude on April 15, 2026. The structured savings plan program allows Nevada families to explore several payment options for college tuition and gives students the opportunity to secure the price of in-state tuition early.
“Every family in Nevada deserves the opportunity to pursue higher education,” said Nevada State Treasurer Zach Conine. “Through the Prepaid Tuition Program and the other college savings programs we offer, we’re helping make that goal more attainable by easing the financial burden for students and their families.”
For more than 25 years, the program has helped more than 9,400 students attend over 325 higher education institutions nationwide. Prepaid Tuition offers families flexibility with five different plans and four different payment options. Alongside this program, the Nevada Treasury offers a variety of other college savings options, such as 529 plans that accept enrollment year-round.
The Treasury has launched a referral program for the 2026 open enrollment period, encouraging current and past account holders to refer friends and family to the program. Referrers must be a current or past Nevada Prepaid Tuition (NPT) account holder, legal successor, or beneficiary. Only individuals with an NPT account history will be issued a referral code. Those who have canceled an account or do not have an NPT account will not be eligible for a referral code.
Referees must open a new NPT contract during the 2026 open enrollment period and complete the first month’s payment to qualify for the reward. Referrers and referees will each receive a $100 electronic Visa gift card after the open enrollment period concludes and the referee’s first month’s payment has been verified. All rewards must be claimed before June 30, 2026. There is no limit to how many people a participant can refer; however, each referral must meet the eligibility criteria in order to qualify for the reward.
“As the 2026 enrollment period begins for the Nevada Prepaid Tuition Program, we’re excited to launch a new referral campaign that invites current and past account holders to help more families plan for their children’s futures,” said Dr. Tya Mathis-Coleman, Deputy Treasurer for College Savings at the Nevada Treasury. “By sharing this opportunity with friends and loved ones, Nevadans can help make higher education more accessible for every child in our state, while earning rewards for their participation.”
