Natalie Gonzalez, who left us too soon on May 28, 2025, at the age of 27. Born on July 9, 1997, in Cook County, Chicago, Natalie was a lifelong resident of the Southside.

Natalie was a vibrant and determined spirit from a young age. As a toddler, she was known for her strong will and adventurous nature, always testing boundaries with a mischievous glint in her eye. Her early love for food earned her the cherished nickname “Papas” (potatoes chips). Her family would fondly call out, “Papas, ven acá!” and even as she grew, her uncles would still ask, “Y dónde está Papás? Dile que venga” or “Cómo estás Papás? Ven a comer.”

In elementary school, Natalie’s fascination with technology blossomed. When she received her first slide Verizon touchscreen phone, she meticulously learned every feature and hack, quickly becoming the family’s go-to tech expert. This passion soon extended to photography. Natalie possessed a remarkable talent for capturing life’s precious moments, editing her photos to a near-professional level. Her goal was to become a professional photographer, and she consistently went above and beyond to ensure her siblings had beautiful pictures of their special events.

Natalie was a true behind-the-scenes hero, always willing to help others but hesitant to accept help herself. Her unwavering commitment and strong character earned her immense respect at her job at British Airways, where she was loved by her coworkers. She viewed the world through a unique lens, facing challenges with determination and striving for positive change. Though she could appear tough to the public, her intentions were always pure, and her heart overflowed with love.

Above all, Natalie cherished her family, especially her nephew and niece. She embraced the role of a second mother, best friend, and the greatest aunt any child could ask for. Every moment spent with her nephew was filled with smiles, laughter, and countless photos of their little adventures. Natalie’s love for “that little boy” was evident to everyone who knew her.

Natalie was a conqueror who accomplished so much at a young age. Her quiet strength and boundless love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 4901 S Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60632. Comfortable yet respectful attire is requested.
