Naomi Card

Naomi Mamiko (Bisagni) Card died, unexpectedly, at her home in Carmel, NY on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. She was 53 years old.

Naomi was born on January 29, 1972, in Manhattan, NY to Stephen D. and Mamiko (Tateishi) Bisagni. She graduated from North Salem High School in 1992 and started her working career in Food Service for PepsiCo in Somers, NY.

Naomi was an active advocate for the rights of people with disabilities, especially for those with Dystonia, a condition from which she suffered. Naomi was extremely independent and believed in autonomy and independence for people with disabilities. To that end, she attended advocacy days in Washington, DC, and marches in the Bronx to bring awareness, change laws, and raise money for research.

Naomi loved to sing, and Naomi loved the Lord, Jesus. At the age of five, Naomi began to sing in church choirs and never stopped. She was a current member of the Mission Church Choir in Holmes, NY.

Naomi was a great cook and had a gift for mathematics. She loved her siblings well and always demonstrated great patience with them. She loved animals – especially her dogs, loved driving, and loved travel and being at the beach – Montauk being a favorite retreat since childhood. She treasured her own grandparents and was so excited and proud to become a grandmother herself to the new light in her life, her grandson, Bryan. She had a trademark knack for remembering everyone’s birthdays, even extended family and friends, and never failed to call with birthday wishes.

Naomi is survived by her loving parents Stephen and Mamiko Bisagni of Brewster, NY; her children, Rachel “Isabella” Card of Brewster, NY, Christina Card of Danbury, CT and Rodney Card of Philadelphia, PA; her grandson, Bryan Card-Mendez of Danbury, CT; her seven siblings, Micah Bisagni of Los Angeles, CA, Melissa Bisagni (Nicholus Roxas) of Washington, DC, Stephen T (Stephanie) Bisagni of Norwalk, CT, Francis (Caroline) Bisagni of Indianapolis, IN, Daniel (Yvette) Bisagni of New Braunfels, TX, Jonathan (Ida) Bisagni of Somsø, Denmark, and Hannah (Seth) McAllister of Norikura Kogen, Japan; her current partner and life companion, John Fantini, and her estranged husband, the father of her children, Rodney Card of Brewster, NY.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 11:00am at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. Calling hours will be at Beecher Funeral Home, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 4-8pm. A private cremation will follow.
