Nannette Marie “Nann” Murphy, age 62, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.

On September 15, 1962 Nann was born in Kenton, Ohio. The daughter of the late John Mehaffey and Linda Halbert. Nann received her education from Marion Harding High School. On December 31, 1982 Nann married her soulmate, Danny J. Murphy in Marion, Ohio. The loving couple shared 42 marvelous years together.

Nann was a woman of immeasurable talent, heart, and devotion. Gifted with creative hands and a boundless spirit, she could turn the simplest materials into treasures that carried love in every stitch, fold, and flourish. Throughout her life, Nann poured herself into crafting of every kind including: crocheting, cross stitching, quilting, quilling, calligraphy, and jewelry making. With patience and care, she created countless special gifts that her family cherishes to this day, many of which are still proudly worn and displayed as reminders of her love.

Nann was the foundation and rock of her family; the one who could be relied upon for guidance, comfort, and unwavering support. Her presence was a steady light, grounding those she loved in times of joy and in times of challenge.

Nann’s legacy lives not only in the beautiful works of art she left behind, but in the lives she touched so deeply. Her family will carry her spirit in their hearts, grateful for the love, creativity, and strength she instilled in them.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Danny J. Murphy; children: Lacey Murphy, Joseph (Sarah Driskel) Murphy, and Amanda (Kevin) Kuhn; mother, Elizabeth “Becky” Maheffey; grandchildren: Andrew, Charlee Rose, Trevor, Lyllyn, George, Delilah, and Zander; siblings: Amy (Dave) Etzel, Chelsea (Greg) Pine, Lynn (Jimmy) Golden, Michelle (Ron) Zimmerman, Chrissi (Steve) Golden, and Diane Risner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Nann was preceded in death by her father-in-law, James Hammond Murhphy, and mother-in-law, Martha Alice Murphy; brothers: Ronald Murphy and Donald Murphy; and sister, Ruthann Howard.

Celebration of Life will be held from 4PM-7PM on September 3, 2025 at 2784 Prospect Upper Sandusky Road S., Marion, OH 43302.
