Nancy was an active member at Preston Mennonite Church since 1961. She was a strong supporter of the Woman’s Mission Group as well as serving on many committees over the years.

Nancy was a longtime employee at Schneider’s Meats on Courtland Avenue. Many friendships were made over the years that still exist today. In 1997 Nancy took early retirement after her first cancer diagnosis. This opened the doors for her dedication to volunteering. Nancy took great pride in giving back and volunteered many places over the next 25 years. Parkwood Mennonite Home, Thrift on Kent, St. Jacob’s Meeting House, The Woman’s Prison and Ontario Christian Gleaners to name a few.

Nancy also loved to travel and visit the world. She visited every State, Province and Continent except South America and Antarctica which she deeply regretted not having accomplished.

Nancy had many hobbies throughout her lifetime, she pieced many beautiful quilts which many of us can treasure today, diamond art, card games ( which she usually won!), Toronto Blue Jays and most importantly anything her Grandson’s were involved in she was there.

Being one of eleven, Nancy lived more like she was one of the Twelve, touching so many lives throughout her life she will be dearly missed by us all. Our family is definitely going to miss the glue which held us so firmly together.
