Nancy Jo Fisher Chandler

Nancy Jo Fisher Chandler, 90, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025. Born in Weaverville, NC, on April 9, 1935, Nancy was the daughter of the late Edward H. Fisher and Mary Jo Jones Fisher. She was married to the late James “Bill” Chandler, with whom she shared many loving years.

A devoted homemaker and active community volunteer, Nancy found great joy in caring for her family and serving those around her. She was an avid gardener who loved flowers of any type. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed trying new recipes. She was a longtime member of the Hendersonville Country Club and First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, where she built many lasting friendships. Nancy will be remembered for her kind heart, gracious spirit, and quiet strength.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Chandler; and her son, K. Keith Chandler. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kim Chandler Smith, and husband Chris of Hendersonville; grandsons, Chandler Smith and wife Charlotte of Mars Hill, NC, Grant Smith of Tacoma, WA; and her sister, Gail Embler and husband Bob of Weaverville, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2025, in the Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home, 125 Orrs Camp Road, Hendersonville, NC, with John Isley officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Shuler Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
