Nancy Burgandine

Nancy L. Burgandine, 78, of Niles, passed away Tuesday evening at Ventura at Assumption Village in North Lima.

Nancy was born on April 12, 1947, in Leetonia, Ohio, and was a lifelong resident of the area. She spent many years as a devoted caretaker and nanny, roles in which she found great purpose and joy.

She enjoyed visiting casinos and especially looked forward to bus trips with friends.

Nancy is survived by her husband, James Burgandine; two sons, Allan (Sandra)Crain and Mark (Mary) Crain, both of Niles; grandchildren, Christopher Crain, Mark (Page) Crain Jr., and Robert Crain; and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Sophia. She also leaves behind her sister, Carol Chitwood of Alliance.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Edwin Hunt and Robert Herron.

In accordance with Nancy’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel.
