Miriam Jones

Miriam Katherine (Cox) Jones, 82, of Dundalk, MD, formerly of Harrisville, WV, departed this life Saturday, November 1, 2025, under the care of Future Care NorthPoint in Dundalk, MD. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was born on July 13, 1943 in St. Albans, WV, a daughter of the late Marvin Keith and Miriam Frances Jacqueline (Wisman) Cox.

Miriam was a proud graduate of Harrisville High School. A woman of deep faith, she loved the Lord and was a devoted member of the Harrisville Baptist Church for many years. Miriam dedicated much of her life to helping others. For a time, she worked as a health aide, where she provided compassionate care to those in need. Although her time in this role was brief, her spirit and kindhearted nature left a lasting impact on the lives of those she assisted.

She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Miriam loved being social and found joy in spending time with others, sharing laughter, and building lasting friendships. She cherished reading her Bible, completing word searches,writing and spending time outdoors. She adored making memories with her family and beloved pets.

She is survived by her loving children, Jennifer Knaupe and husband James of Delaware, Jonathan Jones and wife Dawn of Oklahoma, Aaron Jones and wife Paula of West Virginia. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a niece and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Morgan Jones Jr; and siblings, Jo Lynn Horner, Harold K. Cox and Archie R.Cox.

A service will be held at 11am Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Raiguel Funeral Home in Harrisville, WV with Pastor Robert Perine officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery in Harrisville, WV. A visitation will take place the night prior, Monday, from 4-8pm.
