Michael Fabri

Michael H. Fabri died peacefully on April 15, 2025 at the age of 33. Michael was the much beloved son of Candace Fabri and Thomas Haney. He changed their lives in every possible way, making them so much more meaningful and so much more joyful.

He was kind, he was fearless, he was openhearted, he was a true friend, and he was generous to a fault. He was wonderfully and sometimes wickedly funny and was always quick to find the humor in every situation. His smile could light up a room.

Michael was born in Chicago and loved the city. He had a tattoo of the Chicago flag over his heart.

He was a proud graduate of St. Clement School, St. Ignatius High School, Marquette University, and Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He was proud to be a practicing attorney, an avid skier, and the owner of his boat, the Ciao Bella—not necessarily in that order.

Michael is survived by his grieving parents and his beloved dog, Arthur. He is also survived by his loving uncle Peter (“Jeff”) Fabri (Sharon Schur), and his dear cousins Christopher Fabri (Jennifer), Andrea Fabri (Matthew Watson), Mitchell Fabri and Grant Fabri.

Michael’s too-short life will be remembered in a Mass at St. Clement Church, 642 W. Deming Place, Chicago, beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Clement School in Chicago or to any charity that is meaningful to you.
