Mary Scott
- May 6, 2025

Mary C. Scott, 64, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away on May 01, 2025. She was born April 04,1961 in Springfield, the daughter of John L. Scott and Mary L. (Hinkel) Scott.
Whether it was putting flowers in her garden, cheering at a local baseball game, or spending time with her grandchildren, she lived fully and joyfully in the moment.
Her home bloomed with life—inside and out. With a true green thumb and a deep love of nature, Mary could coax life from even the most reluctant plants. Her garden was not only a place of beauty, but a sanctuary she nurtured with the same care she gave to her family and friends.
Walks around the neighborhood or through her favorite parks were sacred time, often shared with her grandchildren. She found joy in the simple things—a sunny day, a blooming flower, sitting in the stands at a baseball game or a soccer match.
She had a deep love for teaching or helping children with cooking. She taught her grandson Braiden how to make her “Famous Mac and Cheese”. Whether it was helping children with cooking or showing her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren how to master cartwheels and even backflips in the yard, her enthusiasm was contagious, and she made sure learning was always fun.
A woman of simple joys and strong passions, she rarely passed up a caramel Frappuccino from Starbucks, her signature treat. She found peace and creativity in crocheting, often gifting loved ones with beautifully made blankets and scarves. Her kitchen was her happy place, where the smells of her home-cooked meals welcomed all who visited.
Mary is survived by her father, John, children: Chris (Alma) Scott, Trisha (Jon) Adkins, Zachary Klawon; siblings: Johnny (Jessie) Scott, Teresa Scott, Kim Scott, Jodi (Larry) Powell, Mark Scott; Grandchildren; Caiden, Braiden, Drew, Peyton, Madison, Alex; fur pups; Cali, and Lexi. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary, and fur pup Brett. Many will miss Mary who brought light wherever she went.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant something in her memory or take a walk in nature and think of her. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.littletonandrue.com.
