Mary Ransom

Mary Ann Ransom of Charleston, MS went home to be with the Lord on September 27, 2025, at the age of 71.

She was born on October 25, 1953, in Ruleville, MS to Charlie and Mildred Stone.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Newsom Funeral Home in Charleston. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

She is survived by her husband Danny Ransom, her sons, Jason Hall of Charleston, Robert (Sonya) Hall of Hernando, her daughters, April Goad of Inverness, Becky (Ray) Kendall of Cascilla, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Two sisters, Ruby (Larry) Mullins and Becky Sheedy of Cleveland, MS

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Raymond Stone of Drew and Sonny Stone of Jackson, her sister Brenda McCollough of Drew, a grandson, Zander Hall of Hernando, and a great grandson Waylon Wren of Hernando.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Tallahatchie Extended Care Facility for their excellent care and sincere concern during Mrs. Ransom’s lengthy illness.
