Warren – Mark Robert Huston, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 25, 2025, after a seven-year battle with cancer. Every step of the way was taken with stoicism and a never-ending love and appreciation of life, his family, friends and his faith.

Mark was born on June 18, 1958, the son of Robert Huston & Jayne Westover Zetterquist and stepfathers James E. Scott & Eric (Swede) Zetterquist.

He was a 1976 graduate of Champion High School. He went on to serve in the US Army, 82nd Airborne Division, and then earned a bachelor’s degree in business management at Kent State University. Mark worked in the Information Technology industry as a Global IT Account Delivery Manager until he retired in 2023.

Mark’s world revolved around his wife, daughter, son, and his entire extended family which he absolutely adored. He loved taking vacations with his family and close friends where the sun actually shined! He also spent much quality time at the family’s swimming compound and many family gatherings. In addition, his love of golf took him on many golf trips with his close friends. Although he enjoyed all his trips, one of his most memorable ones was playing golf at Pebble Beach, where his hotel room overlooked the 18th hole.

To hold on to his memory, Mark leaves behind the love of his life, Kathleen DeCiancio Huston, whom he married on June 28, 1985; his daughter Taylor (Charlie) Scampitilla; son, Aaron Huston, all of whom he deeply loved and was so proud of. Mark also left behind four sisters, Tracy (Gary) Newsome, Christine Miterko, Margaret (Phillip) Woodyard, and Marilyn (Jay) Hunziker.

He also had distant half brothers and sisters, Marsha, Monica, Nikki, Michael, and David, that he had not known well but wished he had.

Mark also enjoyed making lasting memories with his many nieces and nephews, and their significant others, Jordyn (Jared), Jaxon, Ashley (Vince), Vincent, Julena, Michael (Kathryn), Mitchell, Rachell, Christian, Christopher, Hailey, Hannah, Jack (Jalena), Jace, Paige, Zachary, Emily, Rylee and Amelia.

His family also extended to a wide circle of beloved in-laws and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Jayne, his father Robert and stepfather James.

Family and friends may visit from 11-1:30PM on Wednesday, October 1st at The River Church, located at 4257 Tod Ave. NW in Warren, where funeral services will follow at 1:30PM.
