Marguerite Ann Porcaro, a lifelong resident of Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on September 10, 1954, in Brooklyn, she was the beloved

daughter of the late Natale and Flavia Porcaro. Marguerite was a devoted sister to Rosemarie Porcaro DePalo, sister-in-law to Robert DePalo, a cherished aunt to Robert DePalo, Jr., and Vincent DePalo. She was also a loving great-aunt to

Mia DePalo. An accomplished educator, Marguerite earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Saint Joseph’s College and went on to receive both a Master’s and Professional Degree from Fordham University. She dedicated over 30 years before retiring in 2016 from her life as a Special Education teacher at the NYC Board of Education P.S. 1 in Brooklyn, where her compassion and

commitment to her students left a lasting legacy. Marguerite was known for her loving personality, warm sense of humor, and deep dedication to her family, friends, students, and community. Her life was marked by kindness, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to helping others, she enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, and spending time

with her dog Buttercup.

She will be remembered with love and admiration by all who were fortunate to know her.
