Margarete Giess nee Hegel; beloved wife of the late Carl; loving mother of Robert (Marian) and Bernard (Sophie); cherished grandmother of Kristina (Christopher) Mallek, Branden (Lisa) Giess, Louisa, and Veronica; great grandmother of Lily, Darrell, and Parker; fond sister of Peter (Elizabeth) Hegel, late Phillip, late Fritz, and the late Ferdinand (Helen); also loving aunt and friend of many. 

Visitation Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral services at 11:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 4939 W. Montrose Ave., Chicago. Interment will follow at St. Luke Cemetery, Chicago. In lieu of flowers donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church appreciated.  Info 773-774-0366
